Depression counselling · Northern Ireland

When everything feels like too much, or like nothing at all.

Warm, non-judgemental support for low mood and depression, to help you slowly find your footing again. Online, across Northern Ireland, with no waiting list.

Depression isn't always crying and sadness. Often it's a flatness. A heaviness in the mornings. Going through the motions while feeling strangely far away from your own life. If that sounds familiar, you're not lazy and you're not failing. You're unwell, and it can get better.

Depression is one of the most common reasons people reach out to us, and it's far more varied than people expect. For some it's a deep low after a specific event. For others it creeps in slowly with no obvious cause. Some people can still function and smile at work while feeling empty inside. All of it counts. None of it means you're weak.

Depression can look like this

You don't need to be “bad enough” to deserve help

So many people wait, telling themselves others have it worse, or that they should be able to snap out of it. You don't have to hit a crisis to be worth supporting. If your days feel harder than they should, that is reason enough to reach out.

How therapy helps

Depression lies to you. It tells you nothing will help, that you're a burden, that this is just how you are now. Therapy gently challenges those messages and helps you find your way back to yourself. Your therapist works with you to understand what's keeping you stuck, lift the weight of self-criticism, and rebuild small footholds of energy and meaning, at a pace that doesn't overwhelm you.

There's no single right method. Some people need practical structure, others need to gently unpack what's underneath. We match you with a therapist who works in the way that fits you, rather than handing you one approach and hoping it sticks.

Help that fits you, not a waiting list

No long wait while you're already struggling. No cap on your sessions. No single one-size-fits-all approach. Just a qualified therapist, matched to you, for as long as it helps.

You meet however feels safest, by video, by phone, or by WhatsApp, from wherever you are in Northern Ireland.

The first step is the hardest. You're nearly there.

Send a short message and a real person will call you back within two working days. No pressure, no commitment, just a conversation.
